Wraps are essentially one long piece of fabric. This fabric is wrapped around your waist, back and chest, and your baby is positioned between the wrap and your body. Wraps are the most versatile type of baby carrier, often allowing for hip, back, and a variety of front carries.*
Wraps are suitable from birth onwards and can be used whilst breastfeeding. What's great about them is they can distribute your baby's weight across both your shoulders, your back and waist meaning they are comfortable for long periods of time. Woven or Gauze Wraps made of non-stretchy fabric are more supportive and work from newborns through to toddlerhood. However, unlike a stretchy wrap they must be retied every time you take your baby in and out.
*Not all carries are recommended with every type of wrap; check the essential information on each individual product. A wraps length, width, stretchiness will all affect the versatility of the carrier
