Wraps are essentially one long piece of fabric. This fabric is wrapped around your waist, back and chest, and your baby is positioned between the wrap and your body. Wraps are the most versatile type of baby carrier, often allowing for hip, back, and a variety of front carries.* Wraps are suitable from birth onwards and can be used whilst breastfeeding. What's great about them is they distribute your baby's weight across both your shoulders, your back and waist meaning they are comfortable for long periods of time.
Stretchier wraps are perfect for younger, lighter babies and allow you to pop them in and out of the carrier without retying. We recommend that new baby-wearers purchase a stretchy wrap as they are the easier of the two types to use! Stretchy wraps tend to be one size fits all; whilst woven wraps come in a variety of lengths to suit the adult wearer.
*Not all carries are recommended with every type of wrap; check the essential information on each individual product. A wraps length, width, stretchiness will all affect the versatility of the carrier
